For my AS Level Media course, I had to create a preliminary task, a thriller opener and a conclusion on how the process went. I worked in a group with fellow student Nick Anderson and Katy Matthews - and here is the result!
Due to various errors in the inital filming process for our preliminary task, we decided to use it as a practice "pre-preliminary" task and re-shoot the whole thing properly.
Here is the proper preliminary task - which enabled us to show examiners we understood key principles such as shot reverse shot.
After a couple of months, we managed to produce our proper thriller opener. Using inspiration from Scream, here is the finished result.
We then had to be critical about the whole pre-production, production and post-production process in a filmed conclusion.
